About Us

As the name suggests, the boutique was quite literally opened on a Whim – the idea initially to be an online shop. However, it quickly became apparent that there was more of a need for an actual retail outlet  - we were so right on that!  From early doors of a rail in another business, to a small room at Laxey Woollen Mills to moving to our current premises at Ham and Egg Terrace, all in a space of 5 years. It’s all been a bit of a whirl and it’s all because of you, our fabulous customers.

Whim is often described as an Aladdins Cave, it’s fair to say that we love our bling – bags, belts, hats, hair accessories, keyrings, gloves, jewellery, clothing – if it sparkles it’ll be on our radar.  Our firm belief is that everyone has a style for them whatever their body shape. Clothes shopping should be enjoyable and never a chore. If you need help, we’re here seven days a week to make life as easy as possible for you. The majority of our stock is freesize  - it means you concentrate on the actual fit of the garment as opposed to a number on a label which is absolutely perfect for ladies with curves. We cater for sizes up to 30.
